VIP servers are private game servers that can be purchased for games participating in the feature. When a user purchases a private server they can select the players who are allowed to join that server.
Creating a VIP Server
Once a game developer chooses to enable VIP servers on their game, players can create VIP servers by visiting the game's page and opening the "Servers" tab. This tab shows all running instances of the game and the players playing in each one. To create a VIP server, click the "Create VIP Server" button.
You will be prompted to purchase the server (price set by the developer) and give it a name. The server will automatically renew every month until cancelled.
Once purchased, a VIP server can be found on the "Servers" tab of the game where it was purchased or in your inventory tab in the "Places" category. Both locations show a screen shot and a configure button. Clicking Configure opens a page to name the VIP Server and to specify the access settings. On this page, you can allow your friends to access the VIP server, manually add/remove players who are allowed on the server, generate a link that will provide access (that you can send to players), and give access to your clan. Once a player is given access to this server, he or she will see the VIP Server on the game's details page under the "Servers" tab. The server will also be in their inventory under the "Places" category.
Configuring VIP servers for Developers
When you publish a place, VIP servers will be enabled by default. However, to configure VIP servers for your place, open the place's configuration setting. Under the Access tab, you will see options to enable/disable VIP servers and to set the price if VIP servers are enabled. To save any changes you have made, click the "Save" button. If you change the price of the VIP servers, all active subscriptions will be cancelled as well, but players who have their subscriptions cancelled will receive a private message in their inbox about this change.
Note that VIP Servers are only supported on a individual place basis. If your game uses multiple places and you want to allow VIP servers, it is recommended to allow VIP Servers on the game's lobby place.
